FAITH FORMATION
Our Unique Approach to Faith Formation
St. John Paul II Catholic Parish has a unique approach to Faith Formation for children in grades PK-5! How it works:
-
At the church: The entire family gathers for “Faith Formation Sunday” on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 11:30 A.M. - 12:45 P.M. (beginning in October). Parents attend a workshop, where they learn through teaching, discussion, and prayer. Children will be dismissed to review sessions according to their grade or sacrament they are preparing for (First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist & Confirmation). Childcare for younger children is available.
-
In the home: Parents teach their children with clearly designed lessons and activities that involve the whole family. If you have children preparing for First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist & Confirmation you will utilize a specific curriculum for the sacraments. If you have children who are not preparing for a sacrament you will use a different curriculum.
